A structural requirement gives rise to a contemporary spatiality. The volume of the new cafeteria is positioned on the roof of the existing gymnasium. Wooden beams form a cantilevered coffered ceiling, structurally independent from the original building to ensure seismic stability. At the junction with the existing school, a new staircase connects all floors. This architectural intervention also defines two distinct playground areas.
